Philosophy

Here at Babblebrooke Day Nursery, we believe in taking the lead from our children. We use their characteristics of effective learning to understand the way in which each child prefers to learn, gathering this information alongside their individual interests to create in the moment planning.

Our Educators provide activities and environments which promote curious, adventurous, resilient, and inquisitive learners. Our pedagogy is used to strengthen children's cultural experiences, social opportunities, and exposure to communication, and language creating solid foundations for learning.

Our Educators use their skills to support, scaffold, challenge, extend and enhance each child's love of learning. We view each and every child as individuals, who are capable and intelligent, we promote their independence skills and create moments where friendships and memories last a lifetime.

Health & Safety

We prioritise health and safety and are proud to have been awarded the 'In Safe Hands Award' which recognises Nurseries who go above and beyond when it comes to providing first aid for children.  Not only do we ensure that all of our team are trained in first aid but they are also trained in safeguarding children, food hygiene, and hold or are working towards a minimum full and relevant level 3 in early years education.

We have a thorough and rigorous recruitment process that ensures that all staff have references and undergo a full DBS check.  We are committed to the ongoing professional development of our staff and invest in their training to ensure that your child is receiving the very best care.

COVID-19

We understand that in the current climate the health and safety of you and your child are paramount and so we have created a detailed COVID-19 policy and risk assessment which is available upon request.  All of our staff have participated in internal and external COVID-19 training. We continue to follow all government guidance with regards to the opening and operating of early years settings and regularly review all of our policies, risk assessments, and practice in line with these updates.

We currently are open for all families and doing personal tours for new families by appointment only; wearing appropriate PPE and where possible outside of our normal hours of operation.
